Overview
Specter is a self-contained Chrome extension for real-time network privacy auditing. A Random Forest classifier trained on 50K+ labeled requests from EasyList, EasyPrivacy, and Disconnect.me was exported to ONNX and runs entirely in the extension service worker via WebAssembly — no external server. It achieves 0.967 weighted F1 across 6 tracker categories and detects 57% of malicious domains that standard filter lists (uBlock, Disconnect, Peter Lowe) miss, including first-party behavioral tracking and fingerprinting scripts operating under unrecognized domains.
